Bedlam Boys
04:30
|

For to see mad Tom of Bedlam
Ten thousand miles I'd travel
Mad Maudlin goes on dirty toes
For to save her shoes from gravel
Still I sing bonnie boys
Bonnie mad boys
Bedlam boys are bonnie
For they all go there and they live by the air
And they want no drink nor money
I went down to Satan's kitchen
To get my food one morning
And the souls I got were piping hot
All on the spit a turning
Still I sing bonnie boys...
My staff has murdered giants
And my bag a long knife carries
For to cut mince pies from children's thighs
With which to feed the fairies
Still I sing bonnie boys...
And when that I have murdered
The man in the moon to a powder
His staff I'll break
His dog I'll shake
And there'll howl no demon louder
Still I sing bonnie boys...
For to see mad Tom of Bedlam
Ten thousand miles I'd travel
Mad Maudlin goes on dirty toes
For to save her shoes from gravel
Still I sing bonnie boys...

Randy Dandy O'
04:28
|

Now we are ready to head for the Horn
(Way hey roll and go)
Our boots and our clothes, boys, are all in the pawn
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Heave a'paul, oh heave away
(Way hey roll and go)
The anchor's onboard and the cable's all stored
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Soon we'll be whipping her out through the locks
(Way hey roll and go)
Where the pretty young girls all come down in their flocks
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Heave a'paul, oh heave away...
Come breast the bar bullies and heave her away
(Way hey roll and go)
For soon we'll be rolling her way down the bay
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Oh heave away bullies, you parish-rigged bums
(Way hey roll and go)
Take your hands from your pockets and don't suck your thumbs
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Heave a'paul, oh heave away...
Soon we're bound for Vallipo Bay
(Way hey roll and go)
Get cracking me lads it's a hell of a way
(To me, rollicking randy dandy o')
Heave a'paul, oh heave away...

Seven O' the Gypsies
03:28
|
|||
There were seven old gypsies came to our door
They came brave and boldy-o
And one sang high and the other sang low
One sang a raggle taggle gypsy-o
It was upstairs, downstairs the lady went
Put on her suit of leather-o
When there came a cry from around the door
She's gone with seven old gypsies-o
It was late that night when the lord came in
Enquiring for his lady-o
When a servant girl she said to the lord
"She's gone with seven old gypsies-o"
"Well bridle me, my bonnie bonnie mare
My big horse isn't speedy-o
And we will ride 'til I seek my bride
She's gone with seven old gypsies-o"
Well he rode East, he rode West
He rode late 'til early-o
'Til he came across the riverside
There he spied his lady-o
"What makes you leave your house and your land?
What makes you leave your money-o?
How could you leave your newly wedded man?
To go with seven old gypsies-o?"
"What care I for your house and your land?
What care I for your money-o?
For tonight I'll sleep in a cold baron shed
In the arms of a raggle taggle gypsy-o"
There were seven old gypsies standing in a row
None of them were lame or lazy-o
And they came one night to the house of the lord
And stole the heart of his lady-o
